I've got to be a total nerd when it comes to hairstyle, and this has to be a pretty obvious question, but I don't understand how it is done. How do you get your hair "skater"? Do you comb it down, if so any particular way, etc...

if you are talking about shaggy hair, then you should comb it down but also make a part that looks good or try and side sweep it like push your hair to the side. For it to stay part your hair when its wet and let it dry like that, for even better results blow dry your hair into place and maybe even use a little hair spray. Before you can do any of this you need to grow your hair out.

not an expert on guy's hair but, grow it long and like shake ur head around, when it's wet, idk wat else i always see guys doing that. :)

if you want the flippy thing all around, wear a bandana around your head for a while and it should stay like that.

if you want emoish skater get some side swept bangs

if you want hardcore emo and you have wavy, curly hair, get a straightener and straighten your new supersweet bangs and figgin awesome swoopy sideburns.
