Would sprinkling salt in wet hair lighten it??

I have black/extreme Dark Brown Hair and would like to bleach it a tiny bit. Can I use salt and comb when my hair is wet? Will this turn it up a shade?? Thnks

Would sprinkling salt in wet hair lighten it??

I doubt it...however...lemon juice will. ACTUAL lemon, not some bottled gak. but be careful not to use too much or you may end up with an undesirable shade. This will not be a quick thing, you'll have to do it a few times to notice an appreciable difference.

Would sprinkling salt in wet hair lighten it??

No, you will only dry out your hair by putting salt in it.

Spending the summer at the beach always lightens my hair, but i don't have very dark hair, I always mix some lemon juice w/ conditioner %26amp; put it in before going out in the sun. w/ the conditioner, it won't dry out ur hair.

lemon fries your hair

salt? i've never heard of that? i'd try it but i wouldn't go out in the sun

try chamomile instead!!! it works wonders and is super safe

just brew let cool and use it as a rinse it totally lightens your hair makes it smooth and gives it a delightful sense :)

Would sprinkling salt in wet hair lighten it??

No, I hear using a tiny bit of lemon in your shampoo once in a while can help you bring out nature high lights of you hair

Would sprinkling salt in wet hair lighten it??

NO. Who told you this? Squeezing lemon will though. There are a lot of products out there that are gentle now. Avoid ones with peroxide by all means. If you have the money, go to a good salon, you'll get the best results. If you want natural, try lemon! And by the way, beer makes a good deep conditioning treatment! Just make sure you don't smell like a drunk when driving and rinse very well. Good luck.

It'll dry it out and make you look like you have dandruff, but not lighten it.

You want to try lemon juice and sunlight. Spray some real lemon juice on your hair and go out in the sun for a half hour or so. Do this a few times a week and you'll have lighter hair in no time.

Would sprinkling salt in wet hair lighten it??

Oh heavens No!!! this will only dry out your hair and make it flyaway and frizzy

Would sprinkling salt in wet hair lighten it??

I dont think so. Try lemons and the sun.

???

Would sprinkling salt in wet hair lighten it??

Salt will only dry it out. If your hair is dark brown you should look for lighteners made specifically for dark hair. Lemon juice and brewed chamomile tea are both natural mild bleaching effect on hair, but tend to bring out the red in dark hair. You might want to go to a salon and and not take a chance on messing up the color.

Would sprinkling salt in wet hair lighten it??

haha, no... i know from experience. it just makes your hair really dry and ashy. not a good way... try highlights of something. or 1/2 conditioner and 1/2 hydrogen peroxide. leave in for 30 min... then wash out

have u evr been in the ocean? did ur hair turn a lighter color? u answer tht one.. well if u put lemon juice in ur hair. it turns lighter. but u have to be under sunlight for a few hours

Would sprinkling salt in wet hair lighten it??

i doubt it, but i DO know salt will only dry out your hair, which is BAD, so i wouldn't advise in doing so =]

Would sprinkling salt in wet hair lighten it??

Nope, but sodium hypochlorite will. Salt is sodium chloride, sodium hypochlorite is bleach. So, bleach will do the job, but is smelly and will probably just melt your hair. Another very available product that acts like bleach and is found very dilute is hydrogen peroxide. I don't know how much to use, how to dilute it, or what it will actualy do. I do know that it will bleach things, and in high concentrations turns cardboard into dust... Try mixing the hydrogen peroxide in your medicine cabinet 50/50 with water, soak hair, let sit for a minute, then rinse. Wait for it to dry and do it again until reaching desired effect.

Would sprinkling salt in wet hair lighten it??

No and that will only dry your hair out.
