I have long (past my under arm) african american hair. It's very dry, but I have stuff to treat that.
The problem is whenever I take my hair out of a ponytail, the hair stays there. i have to comb it down just to put it the way I want it to be.
And also, whenever I comb it in an "out" style, it stick to my head, and only the ends tend to bounce.
Does anybody know what I should do?

You need to use a clairifying shampoo then follow with a hydrating shampoo. Blw dry with a round ceramic brush out from your scalp. flat iron with serum like Biolage. don't put in ponytail. Wrap it at night without heavy creams or oils.

my hair does the same thing but that's just how your hair is. there may be some shampoo that you can try, go to you hairstylist and see if she suggests anything.
also, the problem is probably your perm. sometimes it tend to make black hair stiffer and it makes it "stick off" more that if it wasn't permed.

Try the keracare hair line products you can order from the internet. Its a little expensive but it works. you will have body and bounce. also wrap the hair without the heavy oils at night.
