I have awful hair. It is thin and just hangs there all limp and flat. My hair seems to break off really easy also, every time I comb it the comb is full of hair :( It is currently just above sholder length, but I am thinking about going shorter... If I get it cut will it break less? Are there any good shampoos or products that I can use that will make it less flat and limp? I am clueless about this stuff, I never had anyone teach me. What I want is nice looking hair that is fairly easy and quick to style in the morning.

I'm guessing that you just use shampoo. That is what conditioner is for, it gives it back the elasticity that it needs to not break off. Also gives more body.. Look for products that say "body" and/or "volume"...
See small results in 1 use.
Extreme results in couple days..

do you use a lot of shampoo? do you condition?
*when you take a shower use less shampoo and make sure there are a lot of bubbles before you rinse out.
*also scrub in the shampoo onto your scalp with the tips of your fingers.
*use a volumizing conditioner--try maybe paul mitchell
*at night use a deep condition and leave it in overnight, in the morning, rinse it out.
*comb your hair, then blow dry your hair when you get out of the shower
*tilting your head upside down while you're blowdrying it for added volume
*adding volume doesn't mean your hair will be poofy, just a little fuller lol, (that's what i thought it meant)
*after you're done blow-drying use a shine serum, or anti frizz cream. here's a good brand: john frieda.
*keep using the deep conditioning once a week instead of regular conditioner.
i use an aussie shampoo
dove moisture conditioner
and 3 minute miracle deep conditioner
also get a haircut every 2 months for split ends and stuff.
