ok im korean and black so ma hair is naturally wavy. when i *** out the shower my hair looks like latin people hair but wen i comb it and it dries it looks a HOT mess can any body tell me what i can do to control it?

Okay, here is a good tip. After you shampoo, leave in the conditioner for about 6 minutes. Then, rinse it out with warm water. Later, when all of the conditioner is completely rinsed out, and you're ready to turn off the shower, turn the water to cold, and rinse your head with that for about 30 slow seconds.

***This locks in the moisture. I know from experience that this works really well.

Also, when your hair is half-dry, put in a mousse or a cream, and run through your hair with your fingers. Then, put your hair into a single braid until it dries, and leave it in the braid for a few hours.

***Girl, when you take that braid out, it'll be like magic! Your hair will stay in curls, but way less poofier ones. And much more controlable.

first of all, stop worrying about trying to style it straight ever. dont blow dry.

comb it out yes, but use some good conditioning mouse like pantene, or some leave in cream and twirl your hair with your fingers. in large or tight sections. take small sections around your head and twirl like spirals. let it dry natural. when its dry finger fluff if needed. your hair will become smooth, naturally curly, and looks like you been in the salon all day styling it.

I've had to deal with this all my life... I brush my hair wet in the shower with a soft bristle brush. Leave alot of conditioner in to help keep from tearing when you do this. Then run your fingers through it to make sure it's all laying as it should. Do this with your head *upside down*... doubled over so that your head is towards the floor. Then rinse it. When out of the shower, run the brush through gently (don't try to brush through your hair fully, it'll tear, do it gently... hard to describe this. Do the same thing with your fingers (this is all done *upside down* again). Then flip your head back and arrange it so that it's all laying properly.

I let it air dry part-way and then put a bit of gel in to keep it from frizzing. I've got long curly hair that runs past my shoulders, I've always considered it a curse but my wife loves it and I have to admit everyone goes crazy over it. Doing this creates a ringlet effect that hangs like straight hair. If I try to treat it like normal straight hair (brushing, etc) I end up with an afro.
