How do I prevent my hair from curling?

Alright so first off, I'm a guy, so a straightener doesn't really work well for me because it's hard to fit the little bit of hair I have in that thing. I have fairly short hair. The problem is the front of my fair, I comb it straight down on my forehead, and the ends ALWAYS curl left and right like I was trying to part my hair.

I don't want a wet look, I want my hair to remain dry, and I certainly don't want some process that takes like an hour to do. Maybe there's some kind of gel or something I'm unaware of that could help? Hairspray doesn't seem useful at all because the second I take a comb or anything to my hair to make it look tidy my hair curls, hair-spraying it beforehand would make it look like I just woke up.

Suggestions?

Well this is a bit tough, I would suggest getting a 1-inch straightener, since they usually solve the problem of "hairs too short for straightener" but if you already have one and it doesn't work, then straighteners aren't your answer. Try using a strong hold wax and apply it by sort of pulling out your hair straight. Or you could pick up a box of relaxer from shoprite, and that would loosen up curls, but your hair might be too short, I'm not sure. Don't use gel, since it will give you the wet look you don't want.

You could use a curl relaxer. It may take an hour to do it but it'll just be every month or so depending on how fast your hair grows and how curly it is.

shave bald

buzz it bro. I have always had curly hair and for a long time I fought with it. then I eventually gave up and just let it curl to the point where it got long (halfway down my back) until I got tired of spending so much time dealing with it. I honestly don't know how you girls deal. so I finally just buzzed it all off and am a happy baldy. Advantages are you don't go thru shampoo as fast, it cuts down on grooming time and you can go buy a trimmer and cut it yourself. if you don't like it it will always grow back.
