well if you have naturally curly hair then you can put in some mousse to make them stay, if your hair is wavy or straight you can use a gel or a wax...i suggest garnier wax in a circular pod like thing. put in the gel and use your fingers to make the curls more curled shaped but it's best done after you take a shower and come out (this is all in the morning) and just air dry. despite what the things say it's not always good to put the wax in dry hair because it gets really messy.

take some moose and apply to wet hair, then scrunch it (grab a fist of hair and squeeze it) Then put head upside down and give a few squirts of hairspary and scrunch it again. If you have some consistancy to your hair this will make it at least wavy, but if your hair is "stick strait" theres really nothing you can do except curl it with a curling iron, or in a mans case get a perm. If you have short hair its fairly easy to do at home and FAR less expensive , just have a friend help and open the instructions to the home perm kit in the store for the instructions of what you need. If the home perm box is glued shut and you cannot get the instructions unless you buy it well than buy it along with some perm curlers you can get at any beauty supply store like Sally's. There are different sizes in thickness of curlers so depending on what kind of cur you want, you could just make it wavy all the way to very tine tight spirals. Also you will need papers for the ends or your hail for before they go into the curler. They may come with a set of curlers but if not ask for them, they look just like rolling papers for tobacco
