I am a 14 year old male with middle length hair and I have 3 questions I wanna ask:
1) I have been using a conditioner (Pantene and Sunsilk) but my hair is still a bit hard. I want the sort of hair that when you push it up it falls back down nicely. Any suggestions?
2) My hair is pretty tangled, is this why my hair is so hard? I comb my hair daily.
3) Lastly, how does dandruff affect the condition of your hair?
I know Im asking a lot but I hope you can help, thanks :D

Answers
1) First of all since you are using Pantene and Sunsilk, they both have silicone bases(ingedients)in them which make and actual waxy build up and that's why you get the stiff and I'm sure your not using a detangler. Make sure you use a clarifying shampoo once a week with a good moisturizing conditioner for dry hair.
2)You need more conditioners and detanglers. It sounds like you have thick/strong hair texture. Do a deep conditioning treatment once a week after your clairifying shampoo. Also invest in a spray leave-in conditioner as this with give you soft hair with optimal comb-ability.
3) Dandruff can be brought on by stress, change of weather, lack of certainvitamins in your diet-there are many factors. It sounds in your case you need a scalp treatment as well to stimulate the scalp. This helps treat dandruff as well as a shampoo with a zinc or tea tree base. Dandruff doesn't affect your hair but it is a warning sign that your scalp needs extra care. Dandruff if it is persistant, can make your hair extremel.y dry or extremely oily.
Sounds like you need to book into a hair dresser ASAP for a scalp treatment and have a look at their products while you are there! Hope this help!Good Luck!

neutrogena triple moisture shampooo and conditioner will do it. I love it. Available at walmart, walgreens, Kroger, etc.. You need leave in spray detangler. Paul Mitchell has a good one and there are some cheaper ones at walmart that are good. If you have aSallys where you live, thay have some good ones too. And Dandruff just make syour scalp dry and itchy , I dont know what it does to the actual strands of hair, besides have white flaky pieces. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

I think pantene is a great conditioner for your hair. You may need to get it trimmed...kind of sounds like it's defeating the purpose if you are trying to grow it out, I know. But, getting my hair trimmed always makes it nice a soft (I have very curly hair).
The dandruff doesn't really affect the condition of your hair, it is caused by your scalp's condition. I usually see signs of dandruff if I'm late getting a trim, or if I'm using the wrong conditioner for my hair;)

ok, one at a time, both conditioners you are using should be doing the trick, try VO5, purple writing on blue bottle called deep nourishing-its 99p a bottle, its great, follow the instructions properly-massage into hair and scalp for a few mins and rinse. Make sure you rinse properly but dont over do it as this drys your hair out. Tangles? any hair longer than 2-3 inches will get tangled, just comb/brush it through every few hours, its not a problem and you will never have 100% tangle free hair. and dandruff? its a scalp condition not a haircondition, it wont affect your hair as such but can look unsightly, good old head and shoulders is still the best for this and they do a good conditioner as well, not to be used if your hair is coloured though, it strips out the colour, hope this helps

One answer for all your question. Stop using all shampoo, massage your scalp with Castor or Coconut oil regularly. Do not comb when your hair is wet.

maybe use cream silk..
maybe that;s the reason..
dandruff causes the hair to break.. coz dandruff makes you feel itchy,, and when you scratch it often you would damage the strength of your hair, causes hairfalls and breakage

Try TRESemme intense moisture conditioner and use a cheap shampoo to strip all the oils and other stuff off your hair. I just use my bodywash. My hair used to be a pain until I did this. Now I get that just walked out of a salon look.

oh, i hate to break it to you but your going to have to get products stronger that what they sell at discount stores. I would recommend Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm. Just do not apply it to your scalp, only the ends. its softens hair really well. it will take care of your tangles. Dandruff does not really affect the condition of your hair, its a scalp condition. it is more of an annoyance. It could be that the dandruff shampoo you are using is drying out your hair. in that case the conditioner I mentioned will take care of that. Combing your hair daily may be stressing the hair shaft and making it fray some. Normally I wouldn't recommend this, but after you shampoo, use a large detangling comb, (after applying conditioner to the ends of your hair) and slowly pull the tangles out with the conditioner in your hair, starting with the ends first and working your way to midshaft. Thay may help. but do not pull hard on hair knots, especially when hair is wet. Hair is very delicate when it is wet. I hope this helps you, since this is advice from a professional .
