Is it better to comb or brush your hair after you take a head bath for best results fo your hair?

Wide tooth comb

Is it better to comb or brush your hair after you take a head bath for best results fo your hair?

What is a "head bath"?

I would use a pick/comb and some leave-in conditioner to help with tangles.

Is it better to comb or brush your hair after you take a head bath for best results fo your hair?

You are NEVER supposed to brush wet hair - but it is alright to use a fine toothed comb, as long as you don't pull at any tangles. When your hair is dry, brushing it is actually really healthy, as it spreads the natural oils from the scalp, throughout the hair. Good luck :)

Is it better to comb or brush your hair after you take a head bath for best results fo your hair?

use a wide tooth comb it will get the job done and prevent any hair breakage or damage

Is it better to comb or brush your hair after you take a head bath for best results fo your hair?

I always comb my wet hair instead of brushing my hair, my stylist reccomended it and obviously I listened to her because she is the one who makes my hair look so fabulous

I would suggest comb for when your hair is wet, brush for when it is dry.

Is it better to comb or brush your hair after you take a head bath for best results fo your hair?

always comb wet hair.. otherwise it gets puffy and frizzy. it wont turn out the way you want it to..

hope i helped

:]

Ugh my hair!!!!?

Okay when I was younger my hair was very long, to the middle of my back. Then when I turned 10 or 11 my mom started letting me do my own hair. I soon started pulling alot of my hair out each time I combed it but I didn't think anything of it. Now I'm 12 and it seems like I have a bad grade of hair because it's short and is growing back really slow. So now I go to get braids in my hair (cornrows, individuals, etc..). Is there anything I can do to get my pretty hair back??

Ugh my hair!!!!?

Wash and condition your hair every two weeks . Get your ends trimmed every three months . Get your hair straight in between getting braids and some time take a break from having braids. Try going to the going to the hair salon and getting your hair done.

Ugh my hair!!!!?

I would say that some hair, skin, and nail vitamins would help u also every two weeks or so at home using a mask for ur hair to get that healthy feeling back. hope i helped :-)

Ugh my hair!!!!?

I would let my mom do it again. Besides, it sounds like you're brushing too hard; hair naturally falls out but a lot while brushing isn't good.

The growth rate of your hair may just naturally slow down but i would ask my mom about family traits.

Ugh my hair!!!!?

Do a hot oil masage on you scalps and then proceed towards your tresses. Leave it on for 2-3 hrs and then wash your hair shampooing twice if necessary. Do this procedure every alternate day for a week and you will see the results. I started out doing alternate days and now i just do it on the weekends. It really helps hair growth and makes your hair soft and shiny.

worked for me, no harm in trying.

Ugh my hair!!!!?

I am in my mid twenties and had very damaged hair but this is what I did. I got all of my hair cut off professionally by a stylist in April of 06. It was about 1/2 inch long. I went to the stylist every week to get it re curled. When it got long enough I went and got it braided. It grew back so much. I got my ends trimmed every 6 weeks. Now my hair is past my shoulders. My hair is in the best shape it has ever been. I can even go with relaxers. I don't know if your mom would let you get your hair cut but trust me it will grow back. You should also see a stylist who is professional and will help you take good care of your hair. Also if you keep getting braids they will cause your hair to break of as well. Good luck!!

HAIR loss?

ok, so I am 16, but when I brush my hair in the morning or wash my hair at night or just simply comb it w/ my fingers, hair starts to fall out. Should I be worried? Should I see a doctor?

HELP!

HAIR loss?

drink less alcohol

HAIR loss?

same here its normal...

HAIR loss?

I would talk to your doctor because sometimes hair loss can be a symptom of some underlying disease. Like i have hypothyroidism and PCOS both cause hair loss. I have been lucky in that area though because I never had that problem, but I thought I should mention it.

HAIR loss?

normal, everyone loses hair, your hair is just longer so you notice it more. weather changes and stress can make it fall out more often though.

HAIR loss?

Happens to me too!

HAIR loss?

that happened to me.. I had a bad thyroid.. once I got it in control it stopped

HAIR loss?

That happens to me also. It is nothing to be worried about, it happens to everyone. Also I do not know the weather where you live, but here it is starting to get warmer and then hair naturally falls out. It is just a normal thing that the body does to prepare for the warm weather. Do not sweat it.

HAIR loss?

I started losing my hair at around 19 or 20. I went to the dermatologist to see if there could be any hormonal/illness issues, but it turns out it was just early female pattern baldness. Both my parents are COMPLETELY bald (mom too) so it was compounded in my genes and I started young.

If it's pattern baldness, the hair loss will mostly be from the top, but the sides will be thicker (just like a bald man.) If it's a systemic problem it may be from all over the scalp. See a dermatologist if you're not sure! Whenever I can afford it, I'm going to get transplantation surgery to move some of the hairs on the side to the top...I hope it works!

HAIR loss?

I would suggest going to the doctors if I were you. It could be something small like you need to take more vitamins or it could be another more serious condition which could be cured a lot easier if you get it treated sooner. The longer you go on loosing hair th longer it will take to grow back so make sure to see a doctor soon. Good luck.

I heard u can use a perm kit to straighten ur hair?

The person i heard it from said that all u have to do is comb ur hair straight for the amount of time they say to leave it up there and then do what it says. And ur hair will be straight. Is this true???

I heard u can use a perm kit to straighten ur hair?

My advice as a person who grew up in our family salon is to have a professional stylist check the condition of your hair first and have a professional do the straightening job. They have so much more pro striaghtening solutions that differ from actual perm solutions. Trust me...don't do it and find out you fried your hair and it all breaks off. I've seen it happen...not pretty.

I heard u can use a perm kit to straighten ur hair?

yup ( =

I heard u can use a perm kit to straighten ur hair?

basically yes, read the box first and find the one best for your hair, DO NOt leave it in longer than the recommended time. You just apply the relaxer to your hair(by combing it through) than wait roughly 25-30 minutes and was it out with the shampoo they give you. make sure you buy a relaxer and try to get one with no lye.

I heard u can use a perm kit to straighten ur hair?

you are correct..be careful though cause perms can dry your hair out somethin serious

I heard u can use a perm kit to straighten ur hair?

yes just dont use the rollers

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

i recently had my hair braided up and i just took them down and my hair is SO tangled i cannot comb it properly ive tried detanglers but nothing works! i dont know what to do. are there ANYMORE suggestions!? :-(

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

Try a ton of conditioner. I once had really detangled hair and I had to use like 8 handfulls of conditioner. So conditioner is your best bet. Be sure to have a comb at your side in the shower.

Then again once I got a comb stuck in my hair (i was 8) and I couldn't get it out (tried everything) so I had to get it cut off. Yeah... never using that comb again. Well at least it's not gum.

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

get it wet...work through it... try some pink oil moisturizer...

and no more tears detangler. start from the ends and work your way up.

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

just for me detangling spray!

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

I have naturally curly hair and it tangles easily. Best thing for me to do is to take a comb to my hair in the shower and work the conditioner thru the hair with the comb. The water softens the hair...just don't pull too hard! The conditioner slicks the hair and makes it easier to untangle.

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

Get in the bathtub and put a lot of conditioner on your hair then put your head under the water and use a pick to slowly comb your hair starting at the bottom ends working in small sections moving towards your scalp as the sections become untangled. Do not force or rip at the hair. Stop every once in awhile to add more conditioner. Good luck.

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

You'll have to wash your hair afterwards, but a little bit of olive oil, or almond oil will make the hair not tangle as much. I find that if i comb my hair when wet (even with detangler) it just bunches and hurts more. If you have it, baby oil also works. Just be sure to wash gently afterwards.

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

have you tried chi brand silk infusion?

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

After you wash your hair with shampoo, but on some condition for about ten minutes then wash it off after ten minutes with kind of cool water. Then get out of the shower it should detangle with a wide tooth comb if it doesn't, then put some leave in condition and then comb it out with a wide tooth comb. If you use a brush, the bristles are too close together. Good luck!

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

shampoo...after shampooing,condition..use as many as you can then try combing it while the conditioner is still on..hope this helps..

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

I would wet your hair with water either in the shower or under the kitchen faucet and wrap in a towel just enough to absorb the major water then unwrap towel and put a good size dab of hair conditioner in the palm of your hand and rub hands together lightly then massage hands all through your hair and wrap hair back in towel for 3-5 min. then take towel off and starting at the bottom of your hair comb with wide tooth comb and work your way up to your scalp! If you have oily hair you may want to rinse conditioner out with warm water but if not just leave it in until the next time you shampoo! Good Luck!

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

spray dentangler all throughout your hair so it is pretty evenly distributed.

go into a shower and wet your hair

put enough conditioner in your hand to cover your palm and put it in your hair until your hair feels competley drenched in conditioner

hold half of your hair in your hand and brush the ends until they are detangled ((this is where most of the knots will probably be and holding it lessens the pain on your head))

brush out the other side of your head..

put your head under the running water and brush out the top of your hair while the water is running through it

((this process may require several runs before your hair is know free))...

i do this after every cheer competiion where i have at least 150 tight curlers a whole can of hairspray and EXTREMELY thick hair... so this is a proven method!!

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

FIRST...TRY TO REMOVE THE KNOTS BY RUNNING UR FINGERS SLOWLY THROUGH YOUR HAIR AND DETANGLING IT GRADUALLY..THIS WILL ENSURE LESS HAIR BREAKAGE...THEN AFTERN YOUR DONE WITH THIS....U MASSAGE ONTO YOUR SCAL AS WELL AS YOUR HAIR FROM ROOT TO TIP WITH WARM OLIVE OIL

LEAVE IT ON FOR AN HOUR OR OVERNIGHT....NEXT MORNING...TWIST YOUR HAIR LIKE YOU'D TWIST A ROPE AND HOLD IT TIGHT AWAY FROM UR SCALP...THEN START COMBING THE TIPS..YOU'LL NOT FEEL ANY PAIN OR PRESSURE ON YOUR ROOTS....AFTER ALL THE KNOTS FROM THE TIPS ARE GONE..THEN START COMBING YOUR HAIR THE WAY YOU DO USUALLY...BUT COMBINGTHE REMAINING KNOTS SLOWLY ...THIS IS A SAFE PAINLESS WAY TO REMOVE ALL THOSE TANGLY KNOTS..ITS TIME CONSUMING BUT ITS SAFE ...AND PAINLESS...

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

Try using a condition and a fine toothed comb...it will take a while but will be worth it if you don't want to cut your hair...my hair is past my waist and very fine...so sometimes it tangles easy too. I also used that method on two very long haired dogs I rescued years ago..I worked for 22 hours on the one dogs fur...and 24 on the other...not at one time..it took me days! They were very neglected when we got them! GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR HAIR !

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

wash ur hair.. and put sonditioner in it and when ur doing that try brushing it in the shower and when you come out i dont no but i think it will work thats what i do with my ahir but i dont brush it in t he shower cuz my hair isnt so tangly =]

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

I had very matted, tangled hair. I read to use a heavy hair grease or olive oil. I tried the olive oil and it made it a little easier but it still hurt so I added lots of my hair conditioner to it and it worked so much better. It took me about an hour or two to comb through the tangles working from bottom to top it was messy but a lot less painful. Use a wide tooth comb first to work out the tangles then your brush. You will have to wash your hair after wards and if you have long hair do not ever pile it on top of your head when washing or conditioning it. It also helps as you are rinsing it out to comb or brush through it. My hair was very soft and well conditioned after I did all this. Good luck!

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

Take small sections and then try to pull apart with your fingers then fine a braid detangler spray and wet it real good and use a wide tooth comb and pic it dont try to comb it out with the first pull.

How do you detangle extremely tangled hair?!?

wide toothed comb, lots of conditioner by nexxus, and work from ends to scalp in small sections in the shower. Good luck!

My Little Pony Hair?

Is there something I can put in the hair that will defrizz and to comb it out to look like new?

My Little Pony Hair?

Try Johnson's detangling spray to detangle the hair after washing it, and then spray in some L'oreal anti-frizz spray and brush it through the hair. That should do it ^^.

My Little Pony Hair?

Frizz serum can help. You can find it at drugstores or places like WalMart. Beware of the cheapest brands, they don't always work.

Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner with vitamins can restore hair health.

My Little Pony Hair?

try frzzease products

My Little Pony Hair?

Rub some olive oil into your hair and wrap in a warm towel prior to shampooing will add moisture and lustre to frizzy hair

My Little Pony Hair?

You can use normal hair conditioner on My Little Pony hair. Wet the hair, taking care not to get any inside the pony (getting water in the top of the tail can lead to tail rust and water trapped inside ponies can cause mould to develop). Apply conditioner to the hair and smooth it through, comb it gently and rinse the hair, then leave it to dry naturally and comb it through when it's dry.

Help! Hair falling out after child birth. What to do.?

Since my baby turned three months my hair has been falling out especially when I comb it. My hair is not process. I use optimum semi-permanent creme hair color.

Help! Hair falling out after child birth. What to do.?

That's perfectly normal! It's because your body and hormones are all out of whack. It will probably go on for another few months but don't worry about it.

I was told that if I got my hair cut that it would stop falling out so bad, so I did. DON"T DO THAT!!! It kept falling out.

I was also told that getting on birth control would stop it. The birth cotrol made it worse.

Just let nature run it's course and it will eventually stop on it's own.

Help! Hair falling out after child birth. What to do.?

u can also try adding salt when shampooing your hair, it will prevent hair loss n ur hair will not turn white so fast... my mum is using tis method now and it works too. =)

Help! Hair falling out after child birth. What to do.?

Hair loss after child birth is completely normal. It will continue for sometime too. Mine started falling out at about 5 months after birth and slowed down after about 18 months. Don't stress, just continue to take your prenatal vitamins.

Help! Hair falling out after child birth. What to do.?

Ask your hair dresser. There is a shampoo and conditioner that helps with the problem of hair falling out/thinning hair.(Sorry can't remember the name) It's only sold in salons and you only use a small amount of each. It cost about $20/bottle.

Help! Hair falling out after child birth. What to do.?

This is absolutely normal. Mine came out in clumps. Just make sure to take vitamins. I also cut my hair shorter so it could grow back thicker.

My hair is very thin!!?

hello there, i have been noticing that my hair is getting really thin. I am a boy. every time i come out of the shower and i comb my hair, i can feel that it is thin and some times when i comb it my hair falls out. (sometimes). what is going on here, and is there any thing i can use to make it grow back and thicker?

My hair is very thin!!?

Its normal and it happens to everyone.Try using Head and shoulders for a while.

My hair is very thin!!?

That is not normal. Your parents need to take you to a doctor for blood tests to find out what is wrong with you.

How do I tell my hairdresser to be GENTLE with my hair??

ok im a bit weird..i have a phobia of hairdressers and salons (its true)..i always bring my own hair cutting scissors, brush /combs, spray bottle and any hair styling products with me..anyways yesterday i went and got my hair trimmed after a year..i went to a high end salon and my mom was with me..the stylist was pulling on my hair with the comb and she was rushing it..i had wet hair and i could feel my hair breaking..this might be not seem like a big deal for people with short hair but mine is waist length and im growing it longer..when i brush my hair at home i take 30-40 mins to detangle and 10 mins to brush..i might just give up on the going to the salon and just trim my own hair..i'm just really sad =(

How do I tell my hairdresser to be GENTLE with my hair??

That's not acceptable... i would say trim your own hair, or get your mom or a friend to do it. if your hair is all one length than this should be easy. If you want them to be gentle, just say it. or you can get your mom to lol

How do I tell my hairdresser to be GENTLE with my hair??

Never go back to that salon.

How do I tell my hairdresser to be GENTLE with my hair??

pick a stylist by calling around to several first and tell them u r tender headed and that your hair is very long and fragile and tht you are looking for a new stylist because you are tired of the last one pulling your hair hard and breaking it and ask them if they are willing to be gentle with you..also make sure you purchase a very high quality pair of scissors designed to be used by a professional from a beauty supply store as regular scissors will damage your hair a lot..if the stylist doesnt sound like they are willing to take u seriously over the phone then call another one if they sound like they might be ok then tell them to set u up with an appointment and tell them u will give them a try and will come back to them only if they do a good job and dont break your hair. honestly what u really need to find is a gay male hairdresser as they tend to be more sensitive what you have been experiencing in the past is dressers that are actually jealous of your hair who were damaging it on purpose or on an unconcious level.

How do I tell my hairdresser to be GENTLE with my hair??

I am a retired Hairdresser. I would have sprayed your hair with a de-tangler, this helps with the tangles because it lays the cuticle down and causes the hair to feel smoother. I would also use a wide tooth comb so the hair would not pull and break off. If this Hairdress was hurting you or actually breaking your hair you need to speak up and tell her. I would have never wanted to intentionaly hurt someone in all the years I did hair. I loved my work and wanted my customers to love coming to me. Maybe try another Hairdresser, if telling this one does not work. There are many wonderful hairdressers out there. I actually have found two I just love and that is something for an x-hairdreser. My best to you, Hope you fine someone who will make you happy.

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

HE IS A GUARD DOG ON WORK WITH ME. 24 HOURS FOR HIM POOR DOG. FOR ME ONLY 12.

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

All dogs that have two or more types of hair shed continually. The hair that is called their undercoat is what comes out the most, the inner softer coat/hair keeps them warm in the winter and the outer hair/coat protects them from the elements. They just shed more in the spring and fall when they blow out their summer and winter coats and get new ones. Brushing daily is a good idea, but it is a constant thing and will not go away. If you mean it is getting bald spots it might have a skin problem and then I would strongly suggest you take it to be seen by a veterinarian. Also, times of stress will cause them to shed out more hair than usual.

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

he might have bald dog syndrome

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

I wish I knew too. My German Sheppard keeps shedding too. It's driving me nuts. I heard that it can be a poor diet. Try giving your dog a muti. vitamin for dogs.

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

is it hot? hes probably shedding. we comb our dog's hair and 10 minutes later weve got clumps of floating hair everywhere. she is a lab, and has less hair than your german sheperd!! dont worry, its probably just shedding normally.

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

Well unless you are used to German Shepherds, I guess the dog is simply moulting ... I have an 11 year old GSD and she moults around twice a year .... it seems to go on and on and on! Hair everywhere ... combing every hour will help shed the hair but not stop the loss. It's simply hard work! My hoover is my best friend at these times ... it's simply something you have to cope with if you want a great best friend!

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

It's probably normal in this weather but check to see if he isn't stressed, dogs generally lose hair when they are frightened the idea being that anything that bites them gets a mouthful of hair.

Is he injured or ill?

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

this summer is alot hotter than any other the dogs body is constantly trying to keep it kool so it is loseing alot more hair than usual because the days are geting hotter

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

Moulting.. natural shedding of thick fur.

It'll stop and grow back intime for christmas. Fret not.

:)

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

Most dogs shed, and as the weather gets hotter, they shed more. They also shed when stressed, physically and emotionally. If he's not getting any down time or play time, then he could be stress shedding.

The other alternative is that his diet is lacking. I give my dogs Linatone (I buy it from the pet store) in their food at night. It doesn't stop the shedding, but it makes slows it up a bit.

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

my dog sheds its hair twice a year... in winter and coming into the summer ,its all natural and nothing to worry about.

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

We had a dog that was losing a lot of his hair. The vet told us it was a dietary problem. You might want to check with your Vet and see if they can find out if your dog has a dietary problem. We also would add 1 egg and some wheat germ oil to his food everyday, that helped his coat look healthy and shinney.

Sapphyre

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

dogs have 2 coats a summer coat and a winter coat they molt twice a year for each coat to come through this is so they don't over heat during the hot weather and don't get to cold during the winter

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

I use the dog rake once daily then, once weekly, I use Shed Brush to brush the loose fur. I feed Nutro Natural Choice Large Breed L%26amp;R (Lamb %26amp; Rice). They have the soften furs. So, maybe try that. I am no expert, but from experience. Maybe also ask the vet for more advice. Some people use Oil. I used to use oil. But, I don't anymore. Also, how many times do you bath your dog? If you bath your dog too much, I think maybe it will loose furs too much. Or, maybe your vet can prescribe you some medicine shampoo or medicine, or go see a Specialist Dermadologist for dogs. Hope your dog will be fine.

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

if you worked 24hrs a day youd have more to worry about than your hair dropping out give him a day off

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

Probably just shedding his fur.

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

its that time of year. GSD's have a double layer coat. The harsh outer coat which protects it from the rain and wind etc, its dense undercoat keeps it warm. The dog will be loosing this part of his coat, and believe me, there is alot of that coat to lose!

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

I have 9 german shepherds and belive me they cast all the time

WHY IS THE GERMAN SHEPPERD STILL LOOSING HAIR, when i comb him twice a day?

Give him a break. come on you only do 12 hrs then no doubt you go to bed, let the dog have a life to

Problems with my messy hair?

I hate my hair!!! I was it every 2 days, shampoo and conditioner, but my hair gets all tangled together and when i comb it, my hair just falls out :( plz help, any products or advice?

My hair is about 2 inches long, any one got any good hair style websites?

thanks in advance =]

Problems with my messy hair?

maybe you can use detangler or leave in conditioner, too?

another thing ...your hair style?

do you get them thinner??

what kind of your hair and style do you have?!

Is it necessary for hair to be brushed/combed? not talking about looking neat!?

i'm not talking about so it could be neat and nice looking.. i mean is it necessary for hair to be brushed everday anyways? it is mandatory? does it help hair, scalp and hair growth?

Is it necessary for hair to be brushed/combed? not talking about looking neat!?

If you have curly hair, brushing it will only frizz it out so I recommend you brush it before getting in the shower. Brushing your hair before washing it helps release loose hair and enables a better cleansing too. It helps with circulation of blood flow in the scalp, which is good for hair growth. Good circulation is essential in keeping hair follicles healthy, which helps keep your hair on your head! Brushing long hair keeps it tangle free too, just common sense.

Is it necessary for hair to be brushed/combed? not talking about looking neat!?

umm no. its up to you if u want to brush/comb ur hair.

Is it necessary for hair to be brushed/combed? not talking about looking neat!?

of course not.

think about cavemen.

i mean, we evolved from them.

we turned out all right.

Is it necessary for hair to be brushed/combed? not talking about looking neat!?

It's not really mandatory, if you not concerned with looks, the only reason hair is brushed it to keep it from locking/dreading up.

Don't brush your hair for a while and your head turn into one big dread lock! ^.^

Is it necessary for hair to be brushed/combed? not talking about looking neat!?

Probably not, but if I don't my hair looks a hot mess.

And it gets tangled.

I am 17 and literally pulling my hair out because of head lice.?

Basically, I caught head lice off of a friend, since then I treated my hair twice and have been combing twice a week. I found nothing live since finding once head louse three weeks ago, any eggs that I found were brown and I couldn't pop, which therefore meant that the treatment killed the eggs as they were dead. I was doing my twice a week check up and found three eggs that I could pop, but nothing live. I seriously don't know what to do. I know that person that has got lice, so my best bet is I caught them off her again and that there is an adult lice laying eggs. I have not found anything live, but I need to re trea my hair right ?

This is seriously getting me down, I don't know how to cope !

Please help !

I am 17 and literally pulling my hair out because of head lice.?

you need to treat the environment your living also.. make sure you wash all your bedding and hoover.. stop going near your friends head, and get her some damn nit lotion.. thats nasty that she's got them and not doing anything about it.. all you can do is go to your GP for stronger lotion and keep brushing daily with a nit lotion

I am 17 and literally pulling my hair out because of head lice.?

I've never had lice, but i remember the problem with them is that they infest linnens, clothing and any other fiberous surface they can jump onto. In addition to treating your scalp, you're going to be doing an awful lot of laundry...

I am 17 and literally pulling my hair out because of head lice.?

After you get rid of them again, you need to stay away from that person. Unless they clean up thier act.

Can some body pliz help me am having a hair problem..............?

I have really curly hair naturally and I use "I Create" straightening irons, they really work. Also use straightening creams and relaxers. Anti frizz serum/smoothing serum. Always use a good conditioner if using irons and a heat defence spray. I also use a leave in conditioner. I use a clarifying shampoo now and then to prevent product build up. Hope that helps!

Can some body pliz help me am having a hair problem..............?

you say you have a hair problem at least your not as bad as my friend she was in cooking class and her long straight blonde hair caught on fire and she had to get it cut off up to her ears she was devistated

Can some body pliz help me am having a hair problem..............?

depends on the texture and length of hair you have.

if it is super coarse and wiry you might need a hot comb; a flat iron might not get hot enough to get your hair completely straight.

make sure hair it totally dry before hot comb or flat iron.

make sure hair is protected from heat with both (with 'grease' or other product).

make sure the relaxer is strong enough (with out being too strong) for your hair.

what shampoo/conditioner are you using? make sure it's something good. i prefer mizani products for ethnic type hair. and , yes , i also use them on 'white' people (one client from australia , one from new zealand , and one woman with pink skin and wiry hair(american woman)).

How can u take care of wavy hair and also make ur hair looking like this?

ahh! i love sarah paxton!! Anyways, i figured out how to get that hairstyle nice yesterday. You have to put 2-3 braids in yer hair, depending on the thickness. You have to kind of hang your head upside down n braid the top half/third of your hair. It makes it not so flat. I like normal braids better than french, they turn out better. You should put get and some anti-poof stuff or something..? in before you braid your WET/DAMP(making it stand out lol) hair. You should try sunsilk hydra tlc 24/7 creme.. It's like 6$ at a drug store.

How can u take care of wavy hair and also make ur hair looking like this?

This best thing to do is to get a deep conditioner done after you have washed it. Next, find a great moisturizer to use on your hair. I have tried different ones because I wear the wavy look a great deal. I am currently using the olive oil moisturizer. There are so many good ones out there nowadays. I suggest experimenting with the different moisturizers to see which does the best for your hair. Trust me, it will work!

Why is my hair turning gray??

I'm only in my early 20's and my hair has been turning gray since I was a preteen. I have a younger sibling (a brother) whose hair has been turning gray since he was 10! What's the deal-- my mom's hair didn't start to change color until she was 30, and my dad's didn't start until he was well into his 30's. I also know that his mom (my grandma) still had very dark hair (no graying) until she was in her 50's (my family is from a very poor country and having hair dye was a luxury).

Could I have a medical condition? It's just so embarrassing to know that at my age (not even 25 yet!) I have to dye my hair in order to cover the gray. Is there anything that I can possibly do? I really dislike dyeing my hair but it's worse to comb it and when I make a part, see several gray hairs.

Why is my hair turning gray??

Gray hair is almost entirely based on genetics, so don't worry, it's probably not a a medical condition. Your parents did turn gray pretty young. It usually starts around 40. Just to be careful though, some medical conditions cause premature graying, such as anemia (iron deficiency) and thyroid problems. Eat a lot of vitamin B12, if you don't get enough of that your hair can turn gray faster. Oh, by the way, my math teacher was almost completely bald at the age of 25. Grayness is better than baldness. You can try henna dye, I heard it covers gray very well but sometimes you get a reddish tint.

Why is my hair turning gray??

It may be stress!

Why is my hair turning gray??

some people are just like that. i think its cool actually.

Why is my hair turning gray??

My sister is 15 and her hair is, it depends , it must be in your genes

Why is my hair turning gray??

it could be stress, genes,or your ethnicity! but its okay

Why is my hair turning gray??

maybe its from your old generations..(Genetic)

Why is my hair turning gray??

most people like it, and look at the bright side, you won't get proofed for buying alcohol

Why is my hair turning gray??

it could be a medical condition my friend was 13 when she was having grey hair. you may have fing worm it turns your hair grey ask a Dr. and see if he/she has any of a special shampoo to fight ring worm

Why is my hair turning gray??

nope no help at all

Why is my hair turning gray??

are you adopted?

Why is my hair turning gray??

if your hair was dark, it may just be salt and pepper hair, and that happens to people at younge ages. its either that or yur a weirdo

Why is my hair turning gray??

I'm pretty sure it all has to do with your family's genes and by that, I don't mean the kind you wear. :)

Why is my hair turning gray??

It's hereditary and may skip generations. My best friend and her mom went completely gray in there 20's

Why is my hair turning gray??

I can't fully answer that question for you, but it seems like you don't have a medical condition because your brother has that too. if it bothers you that much, you can try the doctor. I have heard of lots of other people who say that they went gray in their twenties.

if you want a quick fix, there was a product at long's that was just for roots or gray hair and it was a mascara (different product for light and dark hair) hair dye type thing that you could just put over the hair and it would work just like dye. it was under $10...you should try that for less hassle

Why is my hair turning gray??

idk why your hair has been turning gray since when you're a preteen but if you always be washing your hair or putting alot of perms in your hair this maybe the reason why.I hope this helps!!!

Why is my hair turning gray??

Could be a family thing, hereditary, you know? Well also, if you stay out in the sun your hair turns gray in years later. But teens and preteens get it too, i am sorry. But i tell it as it is.

Why is my hair turning gray??

http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/grownup/ge...

http://www.healthatoz.com/healthatoz/Ato...

Sounds like it's genetics.

Why is my hair turning gray??

well it's probably not a medical condition but you could, possibly, make some changes to your diet or habits to lessen the grey. my husband says that if you eat a lot of tomatoes it helps, and he's usually right on. also, the obvious one, stress, will make you get more grey hairs, so, it would seem to follow that the happier you are the less grey hairs, at least in part. so, diet and lifestyle. good luck! otherwise i'd say just go with it and try to make it a positive part of your look.

Why is my hair turning gray??

it depends on what u stress over or it chould be genitous

Why is my hair turning gray??

genetics but hey your not the only one Taylor Hicks is like that too! and hes only 31 right now

Any suggestions on how I might keep a veil on a comb in my hair if I wear my hair down for the weddi

You can sew the veil to the comb by hand with needle and thread. Or you can purchase a veil that is already attached to a comb or headband.

Use a bobby pin to hold the comb in place.

Any suggestions on how I might keep a veil on a comb in my hair if I wear my hair down for the wedding?

You could wear the front of your hair up, even just a small amount, so that there is more hair for the comb to attach. Also, use a lot of hairspray. If your hair is very straight, use hot rollers in your hair to give it more texture.

Any suggestions on how I might keep a veil on a comb in my hair if I wear my hair down for the wedding?

Yeah just sew the veil to the comb with some thread from home. You need the comb to stay in there. What i would do for extra support is to tease the hair where the comb is going, as you will be hugged alot.Than when it is in, criss-cross bobby pins at each end of the comb. That is a sure way to stay put.You will not see the comb at all.Congratulations!

Any suggestions on how I might keep a veil on a comb in my hair if I wear my hair down for the wedding?

To keep the veil in your hair you can braid a small section of your hair and place the comb of your beil into it. secure with bobby pins going in a cris cross pattern. I wore my hair like that for my wedding, and I do hair on site for lots of weddings.

I wanted to know where i can get a comb for short hair so we can foil it?

any tail comb would work.

its the same foiling whether its long or short.

I have a Cat with short hair that is shedding. What is the best brush or comb that will remove hair

Get a good "flea" comb that has a handle mine is silver, even though my cat does not have fleas it is by far the best way to comb your cat, brushes can be harsh, and the rubber gloves do not work. I have tried everything on the market pretty much over the years and find a good flea comb works best.

I have a Cat with short hair that is shedding. What is the best brush or comb that will remove hair off cat?

SLICKER BRUSH

You should try a brush with metal teeth, they seem to grab the hair better.

How do i get rid of body hair?

How do i get rid of body hair?

Shave anyway!

I know they said that you can't, but still, they really should let you if your problem is as bad as you make it out to be!

Have you tried explaining your problem to your parents? I'm sure that they'll understand.

And if they don't, just go to the store with a friend and buy yourself a razor and shaving cream and next time you take a shower...bye bye hair.

Or, you could try nair, that works good, but I can't use it because I have sensitive skin.

EDIT: You're such a liar. Now you're in 4th grade, a few questions ago you were 15 and looking for a job!

and asking questions about having sex with your bf...wow, people on here are so immature sometimes.

How do i get rid of body hair?

nair its not shaving but it will take the hair out!!! =]

How do i get rid of body hair?

Nair-sensitive care for coarse hair. Try bleaching products to lighten body hair that should not be shaved (arms).

How do i get rid of body hair?

Yeah, without shaving, the only other way is to wax it off, or use a tweezer and pull them off. And yes, it will hurt. And if you don't do it right, you could get ingrown hairs (hairs that grow underneath the skin, and causing an infection). Man, I wish you parents would understand how bad it is for you. If I was your mom, I would take you to a beauty parlor to get those hair waxed off each month. I mean, you'll eventually need to do it when you grow up to feel better about yourself. For now, just cover up, Wear long-sleeve shirts and pants.

How come when you comb your hair with a comb, it creates Static Electricity?

Can anyone tell me how is Static Electricity made? How Static Electricity is made when combing your hair. It happens to me alot and I am wondering why.^^

How come when you comb your hair with a comb, it creates Static Electricity?

Static electricity is the situation where electrical charges build up on the surface of a material. It is called 閳ユ笩tatic閳?because there is no current flowing as in AC or DC electricity. Static electricity is usually caused when materials are rubbed together. The result is that objects may be attracted to each other or may even cause a spark to jump from one object to the other. Common examples of static electricity in action are static cling, flyaway hair and the sparks that can occur when you touch something.

I can go more into the how, but that involves a detailed explination of atoms.. if you want me to let me know lol

How come when you comb your hair with a comb, it creates Static Electricity?

Here's a link to a pretty good explanation:

http://science.howstuffworks.com/vdg1.ht...

How come when you comb your hair with a comb, it creates Static Electricity?

they say it is because there is a different number of electron holes in the different items that causes it,

this web page explains it really well.

same thing applies to your hair as it does this

http://science.howstuffworks.com/vdg1.ht...

I am not so entirely sold on the explanation, I have seen things violate the rules, but even if it is wrong, then it is close.

Update:

this is the first time that I found the same website someone else did.... I don't know if its funny or sad.

Stylee hair products for upswept hair.?

About three years ago I bought two hair clips made by a company called Stylee; they are suitable for medium or long hair, made with two curved combs which are sewn on to a decorative piece of stretch fabric, like a scrunchie. I have been unable to find anywhere that sell them in Ireland, or indeed any web site for them. i know they are still around, becase a friend bought some a year ago when in London. Can anyone help? they are brilliant; your hair looks groomed and tidy when it is swept up in one of these!

How do I use hairspray to get the "scene" big top hair look?

aside from hairspray, spike glue can make your hair all big top style too! well yeah bend over to make ur hair upside down and spray away all over your hair (try to avoid spraying an inch and a half from hair tip) and afterwards comb it just a little bit to bring the big top look yay

How do I use hairspray to get the "scene" big top hair look?

Spray from underneath and use your fingers to lift it.

also use a comb to comb backwards for the 'backcomb' effect

I find the sunslik spray with the thin nozzle best for doing this

They sell authentic hair extensions with stripes made from real human hair. I buy all my hair from there!

They have a lot of colours to choose from too.

clip in coon tail striped hair extensions are best because-

- you don't ruin your hair with dye

- they don't grow out

- you can put them in and take them off

- they can last you forever

- they're cheap

- they look like the real thing

- they wont go all frizzy and weird like real hair does when it's dyed, it'll just look like part of your hair.

- You can change your look really easily

-won't go against any school or work dress codes as you can take them out!

How long can 'nits' stick to the hair if not removed with a comb?

Hi, my daughter has nits and Im just wondering how long the dead eggs stick to the hair, if I miss some with a comb? Thanks

How long can 'nits' stick to the hair if not removed with a comb?

Yep. Nits don't get killed by the shampoo.

You should continue combing for the next two weeks or so, just to make sure you get all of them.

How long can 'nits' stick to the hair if not removed with a comb?

The problem is is that lice shampoo does not kill all the nits... so if missed they can hatch. This is how reinfestation often happens

How long can 'nits' stick to the hair if not removed with a comb?

Until they hatch.

How long can 'nits' stick to the hair if not removed with a comb?

they will stay there until you remove them have u tryed the nit comb made by mothers it at sanisburys for 10.00 belive ull never use anthing else after you use it it removes nits and eggs all in one go .

Should I use a baby conditioner or detangler on my 1 year old's hair?

She has mostly straight hair. I've been using baby shampoo only, but she cries when I try to comb her hair now that it's shoulder length.

Should I use a baby conditioner or detangler on my 1 year old's hair?

use Johnson's no more tangles shampoo

Should I use a baby conditioner or detangler on my 1 year old's hair?

Yes keep using it. Make sure you use a leave in conditioner and something like johnson and johnsons no more tangles spray. works great!

Should I use a baby conditioner or detangler on my 1 year old's hair?

if it's baby conditioner then that would be fine or just use the tangle free spray by Johnson's...

Bridesmaid Hair????

I'm a bridesmaid at a wedding in 6 weeks time and the bride has let us choose our hair accesories I really like this comb:

http://www.hair-we-go.co.uk/shop/product...

and I want to wear it in a style like this (but i'm flexible):

http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/index...

I have layered darkish blonde hair that just touches my shoulders it's quite thin and straightens easily, but it does not curl without a fight, if I need to I'll have it cut differently before the wedding just nothing too drastic!

I'm wearing the light purple dress with shoes and jewellery to match

http://www.renaissancebridal.co.uk/produ...

at the minute we don't have a hair dresser so any ideas on how to make my hair look simple and pretty would help

thanks

Bridesmaid Hair????

The comb is lovely, as is the hairdo!!

However, I have hair that's very similar to yours - it's thin and baby-fine, so for me, styling is always a bit of a challenge, so here are my questions as one fine-haired girl to another:

You're going to have a long day that day. What's the weather like where you're at this time of year? Will your 'do fall flat in the humidity? You don't want to be messing with it all day, so make sure you've got some good product in your hair!!

On a personal level, I prefer updo's for events like this - only because it's up, it's out of my face, and I don't have to worry about my hair getting flyaway, falling flat, etc. With that said, you can't go wrong with a simple french twist. They're easy to do - or to have a hairdresser do for you - they're sleek, sophisticated and your fine hair will hold it - and as an added bonus, the twist will give your hair a little extra thickness to really help anchor that comb in!! That's simply my two cents on it, anyway.

BTW - bridemaids dresses? Simply fab.

Bridesmaid Hair????

I think the comb and style you have chosen are perfect, I can't think of anything nicer than those.

Bridesmaid Hair????

The comb is really beautiful! It would look nice to have your hair in soft big curls - my hair sounds like yours, but it is possible!

Bridesmaid Hair????

try www.theknot.com

Bridesmaid Hair????

I think the styles you chose are lovely, but based on how you described your hair you may not be happy with it half way through the wedding. My hair is straight as well and if i even get it to curl, it is a flop within a hour! 6 weeks from now, the weather may be pretty warm still, so that may *** to the 'flop'. Something you may want to try, that you could still use the comb with, would be a low (near the bottom of your skull) bun type twist which is 'off center' . It would not be a side bun, but somewhere between the back and side. It is actually a pretty popular style right now and is simple and neat, so 10 years from now you won't be wondering what the hell you did with your hair!! :) Also, it will give you a consistent un-annoying style for the whole night. If you are unsure what I mean, contact me and I can send you a picture from a wedding I was in... UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU CUT YOUR HAIR INTO A NEW STYLE JUST TO GET AN UPDO!!!!!....unless you want a new style anyway

Bridesmaid Hair????

I think its perfect, in worst case senario, if you can't get it to curl, then just make sure it has lots of volume, and maybe flip up the ends of it for a little flair, it would still look really cute. Now, go find a hairdresser! lol!

I'm 15 years old(guy), and my hair is long, but thick. How can i make it thinner or lay flat?

I'm 15 and i have super thick hair which poofs out. I comb it over like a "bob" style and it flips out at the ends, and is about the same length as my avatar's. The only way to keep it somewhat flat is to wear a beanie in the morning which holds it down, but it usually poofs out again by the end of the day, or if it's humid. I wash it everyday very thoroughly and condition it as well with Garnier products. To try to help this, i get my hair thinned out when ever i get my hair trimmed (4-6 months or so), but it doesnt seem to make too much of a difference. I was wondering if there was any way to keep it laying flat or make it thinner. Also, since its thick, it tends to stay put, and i was wondering if there was any way to make it more "flowing" and silky. Any tips?

I'm 15 years old(guy), and my hair is long, but thick. How can i make it thinner or lay flat?

I've got really thick, wavy hair too, it looks exactly like my avatar's, and I tame it first off by asking my beautician to thin it out, and usually she uses a razor to kind of "feather" my ends, making my hair much lighter and not as poofy. I also use Nexus "Sleektress sumptuous smoothing" shampoo and Nexus "Humectress ultimate moisturizing" conditioner, which is found in any Wal-Mart, Walgreens, or Target. These combined make my hair much more soft and smooth and it seems to be more "flowing". Also, if you don't mind seeming a little metro (ha) you could invest in a straightening iron. I have a Chi which isn't cheap but makes my hair straight and silky, but you could try an inexpensive one (maybe $20 ish) from any of those stores I listed above and run that through it in the morning... it'll last all day long and that alone would work wonders.

Sorry I wrote a book but I know how you feel!

Hope this helps!

I'm 15 years old(guy), and my hair is long, but thick. How can i make it thinner or lay flat?

layering it will make it appear thinner or just cut it

I'm 15 years old(guy), and my hair is long, but thick. How can i make it thinner or lay flat?

You do know your not supposed to wash your hair daily right? It makes your hair shaft very weak and it depletes your hair of it's natural oil. Your supposed to wash your hair every 5-7 days.

Your hair is probably damaged. You need to get it cut off. Or trim off one inch every month.

I'm 15 years old(guy), and my hair is long, but thick. How can i make it thinner or lay flat?

A hair stylist can thin it for you but you will have to have it done on a regular basis. Also get a stylist that you trust so they won't cut it all off if you are trying to keep it long or grow it longer.

I'm 15 years old(guy), and my hair is long, but thick. How can i make it thinner or lay flat?

sunsilk makes anti-poof shampoo and conditioner. it works for me.

I'm 15 years old(guy), and my hair is long, but thick. How can i make it thinner or lay flat?

You can get your hair thinned and they just use a razorblade to thin it out..or i use this straighting balm from redken that straightens my hair and makes it not frizz at all throughout the day. I also use this silk infusion stuff from chi and it makes your hair really soft and makes it feel thinner. Hope i helped!

I'm 15 years old(guy), and my hair is long, but thick. How can i make it thinner or lay flat?

get some mousse or gel and apply it on ur hair when it's wet, and if u want, blow dry.

I'm 15 years old(guy), and my hair is long, but thick. How can i make it thinner or lay flat?

you can use d-frizz product or get a flat iron.

Will repetedly useing semi-permanent hair die really damage my hair?

I've been useing Special effects semi-perm. dye, i do not bleach but alot of my hair falls out whenever i comb it.

Will repetedly useing semi-permanent hair die really damage my hair?

if you've dyed your hair more then three times your har will start drying out and getting a bit damaged. Really depends on your hair.

Will repetedly useing semi-permanent hair die really damage my hair?

my hair falls out too sometimes.. i think its normal

Will repetedly useing semi-permanent hair die really damage my hair?

it could if you use it to much (like every month) 閳?br>Will repetedly useing semi-permanent hair die really damage my hair?

Hi Jess,

Semi permanent is less damaging than permanent because it doesn't contain peroxide. It is natural to lose hair. Science says we all lose at least 100 hairs a day.

Will repetedly useing semi-permanent hair die really damage my hair?

If you use this stuff alot, it kills your hair cells. Your hair falls out, but it will grow back. Dont worry you wont be bald. Lol, sorry I just had to say that. I do reccomend you dont use it as much. Hope this helps.

Will repetedly useing semi-permanent hair die really damage my hair?

semi's and demi's don't usually break hair. it may be a different reason, diet, medication, sheading, aging...life stress.

Will repetedly useing semi-permanent hair die really damage my hair?

I used semi permanent hair dye for about 3 years (usually every other month) and my hair never seemed damaged hardly at all. If you take good care of your hair its probably fine.

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

My hair is very curly and frizzy. I don't want to straighten my hair, because I like my natural curls--but I would like to soften them and make my hair easier to brush/comb out. Thanks.

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

There are new relaxers that have just come out that texturize the hair. They are intended for children but adults can use them as well. However, i suggest you go to a professional and ask her/him to give you a very texturizer. This can be done with a normal relaxer just combed thru the hair without alot of manipulating and straightening. If you want to do it yourself, look for those new texture relaxers.

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

try FRIZZ ESE its a range of product for frizzy hair, you can use it wet or dry and it does not make the hair look greasy it defines the curls i couldnt cope without it.

try it hope it works for you to x

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

The form of relaxer your looking for is called a texturizer.

However they have products out there made specifically for curly hair. I have used miss jessies curl pudding when I was natural, and I recommend it. You can find products like this at these sites:

My hair is dry is that why it doesnt grow fast?

hello,my hair is really dryish and i can't cut it anymore because i dont want short hair:\ my hair is near my shoulders almost

i have some split ends and when i use a comb at the bottoms of my hair little hairs fall out my hair is frizzy-ish poofy and i have to use a straightener but i think the straightener im using is causing this problem because it's every day use

i wanna grow myhair longer like it used to be

but my hair doesn't grow that much

what should i do to make it grow faster

is the reason why my hair doesn't grow fast because it's dry-ish and has split ends?

My hair is dry is that why it doesnt grow fast?

chemicals severely dry hair,

daily shampooing can dry hair,

when you use any kinds of treatment to hair you need to moisturize and condition,

if your hair is breaking at the ends it is harder to grown your hair longer,

trimming every 4 to 6 weeks keeps the ends clean and can make the hair healthier which encourages growth

you need to moisturize from the inside as well, so start drinking more water

use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner including a leave-in moisturizer and add extra to the ends

stop shampooing daily and let the natural oils back into your hair by once-in-awhile going a few days without shampooing

don't use hard brushes on your hair

gently comb through hair ends - and get a wide-tooth comb to reduce end breakage

I started having problems a few years ago due to a chronic illness - and struggled like the dickens. All of the above has worked.

take biotin it will help your hair a toooooon. i use to have dead hair due to 1 year of bleaching it every 2 weeks.. literally dead. last august i finally got my old color back then i started taking biotin pills in november, and it grew 2 inches in 2 mmonths. now my hair feels like silk, and is really healthy.

My hair is dry is that why it doesnt grow fast?

Use shampoo and conditioner for your hair type and use a leave in moisturizing conditioner as well. If you can wear your hair in a pony tail and give the iron a break. Slide on a headband a mostirizing hair gel and just be curly for a few days. You may also want to get a weave aka a hair vacation. You can invest in a ceramic flat iron and make sure your hair is totally dry before you do any heat styling ( flat ironing, curling, etc). You can use a deep conditioning treatment overnight with a plastic cap on while you sleep. Try Sally's Beauty supply for good products. You may need to use black hair products and not be black, black hair is very fragile and you sound really

FRAGILE. Good luck!

My hair is dry is that why it doesnt grow fast?

I think there are several contributing factors why your hair isn't growing the way It should. Dryness is definitely a contributing factor but I have a solution for you. First Don't wash your hair for a couple of days just so all its natural oils will be restored. Also do not use a straightner every day. Just use it every other day and see what difference it will make. Another thing you can do is use mayonnaise on your hair on a daily basis. I know it sounds awkward but mayonnaise serves as a coating which helps restore hair's shine, health, it is a great moisturizer, and it adds essential nutrients to your hair. Trim your hair at least once a month just to get rid of any extra breakage and split ends, also use a leave in conditioner and don't wash your hair more than every 2 days. With these tips you will have long beautiful shiny hair. You will look glam and fab!!

My hair is dry is that why it doesnt grow fast?

Lot of brushing. Forget the straightener for now because your hair is over processed. Clip just the split ends because your hair is concentrating on repairing itself and not growth.

My hair is dry is that why it doesnt grow fast?

When hair is dry, it becomes brittle and breaks a lot, that's one reason. You should not use blow dryer, straightener, any kind of heat provider. Use PH balanced shampoo and leave in conditioner. Get hair cut at least 2 inches. to get rid of the tips.

remember, you should get hair cut( trims, cut the tips) every 1,5 to 2 moths. When you find a stylist who, you're comfortable with and he/she knows what you want, stick with'em. And last, get hair conditioning treatment, at least every 6 moths. Here's how you could grow nice, long, healthy hair. ENJOY ! NO CHIMICHALS...WHAT'S SO EVER !

My hair is dry is that why it doesnt grow fast?

exactly i know that you dont wanna hear this but you may hve to get you ends clipped and you need a daily moisturiser and make sure it says creame moisturizer not a greasy substance because it will weigh your hair down and that isn't goo in order for your hair to grow you need tokeep it healthy moisturize it comb it daily wash it when you need to and i would suggject a groth solution there is a whole line of products called do grow and it is really good

My hair is dry is that why it doesnt grow fast?

yes thats the reason why ur hair is dry straightener products tend to suck the moisture of hair and thats why ur hair is dry. try comming your hair before u shower that will make ur hair less dry.

I have relaxed hair and is it good to blow dry your hair?

I get stands of hair in my comb and it also has split ends so how do I protect it. Is it healthy to cut your ends?

I have relaxed hair and is it good to blow dry your hair?

Don't blow dry your hair if your ends are split. Excessive heat causes more damage, which causes your hair to become dry, brittle and eventually break off. Clip your ends, and reduce the use of blow dryers. Add Lusters Pink Oil Moisturizing Lotion to your hair when you do use your blow dryer.

I have relaxed hair and is it good to blow dry your hair?

Yes, in fact, it's the only way to remove them before they fracture the entire hair.

I have relaxed hair and is it good to blow dry your hair?

It's not a good idea to blow dry too often. Air drying is the best idea; along with deep conditioning and keeping your ends clipped every 6-8 weeks. Your hair will be bee-yoo-ti-ful!!!! Good luck!!!!!

Itchy and Oly Scalp with Thinning and Hair-loss at the age of 21??

Hi!

I'm 21, and I'm experiencing a LOT OF hair loss these days; each time I put my finger in my hair I pull at least 3 good hairs, which aren't even thin or sth to say they're falling off naturally. For the thin hairs, believe me, my comb is pretty much like a head now. My scalp became extremely itchy and oily lately, especially in the crown area.

It's been the exams period, and I've put myself under a tremendous pressure; I'm anxious most of the time, don't sleep well and I don't eat well. I know those are all good reasons for hair to fall off. But what about the itch and oil? and also, if I started sleeping and eating well when my exams period is over, will my hair grow back again?

Please let me know if this is caused by DHT or anything u think it's the reason behind it all.

Thanks!

P.S. There aren't competent doctors in my country, I wanna depend on myself in curing this.

Itchy and Oly Scalp with Thinning and Hair-loss at the age of 21??

Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Does keeping your hair done so you do not have to comb or fix it grow it or damage it?

I have black (ethnic) hair nad i am trying to grow it back out after cutting it short. I m trying to find the best and fasted way for that to happen. Someone told me getting braids, knots, and twists so that I do not have to do it and keeping the styles for weeks at a time would grow it. Is this true?

Does keeping your hair done so you do not have to comb or fix it grow it or damage it?

Ethnic hair has a different type of hair shaft. Keeping your hair in braids or knots is not harmful to the hair however it is very important to stimulate your scalp during the regrowth process. This is what stimulates the blood supply so my suggestion is this; do a scalp therapy treatment twice daily.

When you wake up and before you go to bed. Just gently massage the scalp about 5 minutes if you can all over feeling all areas of the scalp so you get the blood circulating perfectly. But no it does not harm your hair.

Does keeping your hair done so you do not have to comb or fix it grow it or damage it?

you can do what you want with it and it will grow.. my biggest pee off is women who use the same bloody elastics bands you buy in bulk for everything but hair..they will damage the hair... use elastics for hair and you wont have problems...if you want to grow it out as i am after a short cut...... just let it flow and find a style that is right for the lenght and if need be use sunglasses for a headband works great looks cool...

Does keeping your hair done so you do not have to comb or fix it grow it or damage it?

Damage it !!! If it is braids you are talking about then you are also trying to get bald spots.

Does keeping your hair done so you do not have to comb or fix it grow it or damage it?

I say it wont damage it. U just have to keep it greased. I suggest not getting zillions -- especially if ur hair is kinda weak. I say this because I had them atleast 2 or 3 times and they seemed to break off my hair more than anything. Those little bitty braids just hang on ur hair for dear life and sometimes just break off. So I think if u are considering gettin braids get something like kinky twist -- u know the newer ones. And get like the medium size. Not the smallest and not the biggest (they're just ugly anyways). It worked for me.

Does keeping your hair done so you do not have to comb or fix it grow it or damage it?

I have black hair (ethnic) and I've found that the more I leave my hair alone, the more it grows. Last summer I had to get several inches cut off my shoulder length hair-due to excessive use of a blow dryer and curling iron. I got a weave sewn in and kept it for six weeks, I had it taken out and done again and kept it for four weeks. Between weaves I relaxed my hair and gave it a rest for a little more than a week. At the end of the summer, I took out the weave, had my ends trimmed, relaxed it and the growth was very noticeable.

If you go this route, keep your scalp clean and dry your hair thoroughly after washing to prevent mildew (within the weave).

Good luck!

Does keeping your hair done so you do not have to comb or fix it grow it or damage it?

It's true the more that you leave your hair alone..the more it grows....but it depends..on which....PROTECTIVE style that you do....some braids are good for some poeple and some are not....but the most important thing is the maintenance that you do on it....depending on your style....you don't even have to wear braids, knots, twists etc...It could be a bun...an updo....etc....believe me...check out this site..and it will explain a lot to you..plus give you styles..and tips on what to do...I'm in the process of growing mine out after a short cut too....

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

I wash my hair (almost mid back length) in the shower and also put conditioner on it -- then I immediately comb it while still in the shower and my hair is extremely wet. This action seems to decrease the amount of tangles in my hair. Is this a good thing or should I be doing something else to it? I find when it drys (and I do not dry it using a dryer) that it doesn't look or feel as dry and the ends don't seem to split as much. Does anyone else do this?

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

Back in the day I had waist-length hair, and I used a wide-tooth comb in the shower while rinsing out the conditioner, too! Just be sure to start combing from the ends up so you're not pulling on the hair shaft as much, because this leads to breakage and if you pull too hard, the hair can just come out. A good rule of thumb is, "If it hurts, stop." Lol.

Combing your hair gently when it's wet won't damage the hair shafts so long as you're using a smooth-toothed, wide-toothed comb. When you make a pass through you hair, keep it slow, and don't press the teeth into your scalp too hard. Contrary to what someone said, combing your hair when it's wet doesn't make more hair come out. On average, a person with healthy hair will still lose more than 100 hairs per day, and those who comb lose less than those who use bristle brushes. Combs lessen friction on the hair shafts, and they don't create tangles like bristle brushes can. Since your hair is passing through one row of teeth, it's not getting caught on multiple other rows of teeth, so breakage is minimal. The wider the teeth are set apart, the better, especially if you have thick hair.

I cut my hair chin-length a few months ago and it's now just past my shoulders and even now I continue to comb my hair in the shower.

Heat is terrible on your hair, no matter what products you use to "protect" it. Heat dries out the moisture, and burns the crap out of the surface, increasing flyaways and broken hair shafts.

In all actuality, brushing your hair dry does more damage, since most people don't take their time and fall for the wives tale about brushing your hair wet causing damage. When dry, your hair is stronger, but as mentioned above, dry hair running through a comb or brush creates friction, which creates static and heat, which damages the hair shaft.

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

I use conditioner but combing in the shower is normally used to prevent frizz on curly hair-not strait.

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

I have long hair. But you shouldn't comb it in the shower because it takes out more hair than if you just combed it when it is dry.

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

i used to have long hair and i would brush it in the shower to prevent tangles and it worked

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

Yep, the shower thing works! I comb it while the conditioner sits on my hair ... makes it easier.

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

That's what I do. I comb it out while the conditioner is on it.

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

I like to do so with conditioner is still in. As long as you start at the bottom and work your way up gently, you'll do the least damage. Also, make sure you use a very wide tooth comb!

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

My wife and I both have tails over 2 feet in length. We shampoo condition and use leave in conditioner after the shower and before brushing. Different shampoos and conditioners give you different results. We use Pantene Pro

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

Mmmmm.... I have never tried doing that.

My hair is almost to my butt and extremely wavy. I usually blow dry it, then comb it out. It doesnt really break alot, but It is a task combing it out.

But I'll to try your way and see if it works.

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

I have long hair, just below my shoulders now, use to be a lot longer %26amp; all I ever do is just shampoo %26amp; condition in the shower as normal but don't comb it while it's still wet, you can 'cut' or 'break' the hair if you do that, leading to a lot of split ends. I'm not sure why that's not happened already mind you lol. I usually just towel dry my hair very well then run a comb through it carefully %26amp; leave to dry.

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

You sound a lot like me! Awesome....

I recently used to have hair down to my butt.

I'd use conditioner too, and brush it as soon as I got out of the shower. If you don't mind brushing your hair in the shower, then keep on. I too, would let my hair air dry. Probably used a blowdryer once every couple years.

Everyone always gushed about my hair and it's health, even when it's been dyed and processed so much. It's simple everyone, unless you have a more complex hair style with lots of layers, just don't blow dry it.

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

i recently cut my hair because i donated it, but i had hair that went to my lower back, and i used to comb it while i was in the shower but my mom complained because when i would walk back into my room there would be a line of water dripping from my hair so i would comb it and put it in a towel to dry which caused it to be tangly. So i eventually just stopped. I also have really healthy hair so i must be doing something right.

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

i ALSO HAVE LONG HAiR.. AND yES, iT iS A PAiN... SOMETiMES i jUST DONT WANA BRUSH iT OUT. WHAT yOUR DOiNG iS PERFECTLy FiNE... i DO THE SAME THiNG.. BUT MAkE SURE iTS A BiG TOOTH COMB THAT yOUR USiNG.. i FiND THAT yOU USE A biG TOOTH COMB ON yOUR hAiR WHiLE iTS WET AND NEVER A BRUSH.. AS THiS WiLL DECREASE SPLiT ENDS AND TANGLES, AND USE A BRUSH ONLY WHEN yOUR HAiR iS DRy (iF NEEDED). tRy iT.. tHiS WAy.. yOU DONT ALWAyS HAVE TO BRUSH iN THE SHOWER.. TO MAiNTAiN THAT HEALTHy LOOk, TRy NOT TO TEAR THROUGH yOUR HAiR BUT BRUSH/COMb iT OUT iN SECTiONS iF yOU HAVE TO.

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

I ALWAYS comb my hair in the shower while the conditioner is on. I cannot comb my hair otherwise...I use an awesome shower comb and i'm good to go....I also have long hair to the small of my back.

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

I use conditioner plus a detangler(which works like a conditioner anyway) by Paul Mitchell...good product!

And I comb it through in the shower...presto...no more blow-drying tangles!

Do you have long hair and if so do you comb in while still in the shower to prevent tangles?

i have laong hair to my mid back also but i dont do anything keep it untangled i just wash it condition it and let it air dry

Why do they say not to use a brush to comb out wet hair?

Supposedly, when your hair is wet it is at it's weakest. Using a brush damages your hair because all of the bristles are too harsh. A comb or pick has "fingers" that gently seperates your hair strands instead of pulling on them like a brush does.

Why do they say not to use a brush to comb out wet hair?

You are much more likely to break your hair off. A comb goes through easier.

Why do they say not to use a brush to comb out wet hair?

Because it can break your hair easier. If you use a plastic-toothed brush though (that's what I use) and you don't rake it too hard through your hair, you should be fine.

Why do they say not to use a brush to comb out wet hair?

hair that is wet is a lot weaker then when it is dry. find a comb that has widely spaced teeth or buy a pick ( like and afro pick). those work the best on wet hair.

Why do they say not to use a brush to comb out wet hair?

it could break your hair, and cause split ends.

try using just a simple comb. it still brushes the same, and it's better for your hair!

Why do they say not to use a brush to comb out wet hair?

Because your hair is the weakest when it is wet and you can get split ends easier and faster if you brush it wet. That's what "they say" but honestly, I bet no one actually listens, lol.

Why do they say not to use a brush to comb out wet hair?

When your hair is wet, it tangles. The brush has more bristles than a comb. The more bristles, the more your hair gets caught which causes you to pull harder, which causes breakage. Always start from the bottom while combing and work your way up to avoid pulling the hair.

Why do they say not to use a brush to comb out wet hair?

because your hair is died skin and it's easier to fall out and the hair well take long to grow and the hair that does grown will be thin

Why do they say not to use a brush to comb out wet hair?

Your hair will break off and cause split ends.

Why do they say not to use a brush to comb out wet hair?

i think they say it doesnt pull out ur hair but watever i alway brush mine %26amp; im not bald yet!閳?br>Why do they say not to use a brush to comb out wet hair?

Because a brush doesn't get tangles out, it goes over the tangles.

When you comb your hair you should start at the bottom and work your way up. take a section of hair at a time that way you are not ripping through the hair. A clip works well for sectioning and keeping the combed hair seperate from the uncombed.

Do a little test, try combing your wet hair as instructed about and than next time brush the wet hair and you'll see for yourself why you should comb over brushing.

Also you should always use a leave-in-conditioner when combing. It will make a HUGE differents. OH, and that is a comb such as a small toothed comb, not a wide toothed comb or a pick.

Stylist of 9 years.

Why do they say not to use a brush to comb out wet hair?

It make the hair break

I NEED HAIR GEL HELP ASAP!!!?

Ok...so here is my problem.

I have a preformance coming up. Im preforming Misery Business with my my friend and I want my hair to look as close as possible to Her hair Here

http://s220.photobucket.com/albums/dd116...

Ok so here is what im planning on using:

-Manic Panic Hair Gel (temporary color)

-Combs

LMAO im almost POSITIVE thats not enough but I

1) Want to know how to Get my bangs all poofy like hers (i want the tequniques)

2) I'll be doing hair whips and other funny stuff with my head during the show and I want as much action in my hair as possible, so I want to know how to uncrunch the hair gel w/o a shower. Because its temporary, It comes out in 1 wash...so I need to know how to keep the color in w/o the crunch.

NOTE: I already KNOW my bangs are gonna be crunchy if i want the poofy-ness. So just the anything but the bands I want color w/o crunch!

Thank you so much for helping me w/ this....I SOOOO needed this

I NEED HAIR GEL HELP ASAP!!!?

Tease your bangs to get them puffy after you spray them w/ a little hairspray. Volumizing mousse should help make them thicker to help them stand up through your performance. To tease, just grab a section and hold it up and take a comb and starting near your fingers comb downward toward your scalp, then repeat kind of fast until poofy (don't comb in the up direction, just down, and keep picking up the same section of bangs if they come out of your fingers)

I NEED HAIR GEL HELP ASAP!!!?

That hair style looks so ugly have you really looked at the style is looks like a shaggy broom
